Shiitake and Lucy } Austin, Texas Dog Photographer

These are two very well loved rescue pups. At 14, Shiitake has really seen it all. He is a world traveler and has been to such fine places as Australia, England and Paris. Shiitake’s mom, Amy, found him after he had been run over. She nursed him back to health and after trying to get him adopted she decided instead to just keep this little love bug for herself. Lucy is a fireball and definitely the alpha lady of the house. She has mastered the art of sitting/standing on her back legs and clapping for attention. You’ll see what I mean! These two were incredibly sweet and I had such a wonderful time capturing their relationship with their mom. Thank you Amy, Shiitake and Lucy for a lovely shoot.

Grace - Something about Shiitake’s little button face just kills me. Gorgeous shots.

Jill - wow awesome shots! what little cuties!

heather - beautiful shots of precious puppies!

My little snowbaby } Austin, Texas Pet Photographer

Snow is rare in Texas and 2 inches of snow is REALLY rare. So obviously Ella and I had to run around and play in this odd, fluffy, white goodness blanketing our yard. Ella romped around and made some adorable little paw print tracks all over the place. Then she proceeded to check every snow covered tree to see if a squirrel would come down and play. Hope all you Texans enjoyed your “winter blast.” ;-)

claire - awww, so sweet!

susan - The little bit of snow was fun for our dogs too! Energizing, actually….as if they need more energy. I had Jewels, our older ‘Texas mutt’ in Kansas recently, and we woke up to 6 inches of new snow. She walked outside, turned back to look and stood there like she was in fresh cement and unable to move. I’m sure it was her first ’snow experience’. Her expression was priceless.

leesia - awww, so cute! sadly, my dogs don’t do anything fun in the snow…just look at it, pee on it, and then go to the door to come back inside. :p

Yvonne Petreczko - That was so neat! We didn’t get that much snow on my side of Austin! Great photos!

Grace - TOO CUTE!!! What I would give to get some photos of my dog in snow.

Mia and Nicole } Austin, Texas Dog Photographer

Nicole wanted to surprise her fiance with an awesome wedding gift. So, I met up with Nicole and her lovely 11 yr old Boxer, Mia, to create a beautiful and timeless portrait that her fiance would adore. Mia was an incredibly sweet and gentle girl. She was actually the first Boxer that didn’t immediately greet me with a leap and a kiss. I know it might be her age but I also think it’s just her sweet and gentle spirit. As I photographed Mia I could see Nicole lovingly watching her girl and smiling at all her expressions. The bond between Nicole and Mia is beautiful and I am so honored that I was able to capture that. I heard from Nicole that the images made a huge impact on her now husband and that he loved them dearly.

Wishing you all lots of love and happiness as Valentine’s Day nears.

DogBoy’s Dog Ranch } Austin, Texas Pet Photographer

DogBoy’s Dog Ranch is a fabulous 15 acre doggie ranch heaven in Pflugerville. Owned by Bart (aka – DogBoy) and Courtney (aka – DogGirl) Emken, DogBoy’s Dog Ranch has been in business for 15 years and they recently celebrated a new addition to the ranch. The DogBoy’s Training and Wellness Center had its grand opening on January 30th and it was a huge success. There were facility tours and demonstrations featuring canine massage, canine good citizen, rally and tricks.

Personally, I have to say that I was just beyond impressed by the new Training and Wellness Center and all they had to offer. The Canine Massage demo was not only informative but heartfelt because you really got a sense of how important it is to give your dog the best quality of life that you can. That’s what this new facility and their services are all about and I highly suggest you check them out. I also went on a tour of the facility with DogGirl and I was really blown away by how much care and attention goes into the DogBoy’s experience.

Another exciting announcement was also made, as if all that wasn’t enough. DogBoy’s has teamed up with The Austin Humane Society to offer its services to their shelter dogs. Each week, DogBoy’s will host AHS dogs in their facility and they will provide them care, training and fun! DogBoy’s deserves a big congrats for opening up their facility to better the lives of the AHS shelter dogs.

Updated to add: You can read more about this exciting news at the DogBoy’s Dog Ranch Blog.

Grand Opening of the Training and Wellness Center. Loved the massage therapy demos.

DogGirl gave a wonderful tour of the facilities.

nicole - Thank you so much Tolly! It really is an amazing place and they are doing GREAT things!

Tolly - Oh, Nicole! Not only does this place look like a little utopia for dogs, your pictures capture the dogs’ dynamic with their owners so well. I like the little black and white one, looking up from his leash. “Hey! I’m ready to LEARN! Look! I’m even copying the steps you’re taking!”

leesia - this place sounds amazing!

Bacchus, Paige and Betty } Austin Texas Pet Photographer

Last November I attended the 21st Annual Gala for the Central Texas SPCA, where I was named their Animal Advocate of the Year. I donated a session for the CTSPCA auction at the event and was super excited that their social marketing guru, Susan, was the winner. Susan does amazing things for the CTSPCA and works really hard to get the word out. You can find out the latest CTSPCA news by following them on Twitter and becoming a fan on Facebook.

Susan has three fabulous dogs – Bacchus, Paige and Betty. They are lovingly called her “swine” and they were a delight to photograph. Susan’s husband, Joe, and her children also made an appearance. I have to say that her kids were so very sweet. I loved capturing their connection with each of the pups.

Thank you Susan and family for a lovely shoot.

nicole - Nice to meet you Bianca and Rich! Thank you so much for following my blog and leaving such lovely comments about my work.
